Authors submitting a manuscript do so on the understanding that if it is accepted for publication, copyright for the article, including the right to reproduce the article in all forms and media, will be assigned exclusively to the Journal of Astrobiology and Space Science Reviews, and the Publisher, Cosmology Science Publishers; and that their works will appear online, open access at the Journal of Astrobiology and Space Science Reviews, but may be republished as chapters within a book. The Copyright Transfer Agreement must be signed by all the authors before the article is published.

Authors retain the right to reprint their work on their website, on the website of the institution where they are employed, at Researchgate, Acadamia, etc., and in books where they are the sole author.

Copyrights and Open Access Publishing

The Journal of Astrobiology grants to the author(s), a perpetual right of access to copy, use, distribute, transmit and display their work publicly on their websites, the websites of their institutions, and in online data bases such as Researchgate, Google Scholar, Academia, PubMed Central, and so on, subject to proper attribution of authorship and publication history, as well as the right to make printed copies for their personal use.

The author(s) and the Journal of Astrobiology grants to the public, the right to freely access and make a limited number of copies of these articles, for their own personal use but which cannot be sold.

Books

The articles and commentary published by the Journal on a single, generalized topic, may be bound in book form and made available to the public and scientific community. By submitting an article to the Journal, authors acknowledge their works may be republished in book form and that the authors agree and give permission to the publisher to reprint their works.

Conditions & Permissions for Submission

Manuscripts are accepted for review with the understanding that the same work is not under review for publication elsewhere, and has not been previously published.

Submission for publication must be approved, in writing, by all of the authors.

Plagiarism: Plagiarism, defined as taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them off as one's own, will not be tolerated. The acceptable method of discussing work that has been published by others is via the use of references and quotes: Identify and reference your sources. The Journal also employs a Plagiarism Detector to detect direct copying.
